About us
The Comox Valley Ukrainian Cultural Society (CVUCS) has been a part of the ethno-cultural fabric of the community since 1981.
The Society’s Mission/Purpose is to preserve, practice, and promote Ukrainian cultural heritage and interests through community engagement. The Society advocates on behalf of Ukrainians and Canadians of Ukrainian descent here in the Comox Valley, and abroad.
Our members are local residents (of primarily Ukrainian heritage) living on North Central Vancouver Island, with most living in the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, and the Village of Cumberland. Primarily a social club, over the years members have enjoyed meeting to prepare Ukrainian food, host traditional celebrations at Christmas, New Year, and Easter and meet monthly for different activities.
