Meetings:
Members (who don’t have to be of Ukrainian heritage!) come together regularly for fun, fellowship and sharing of Ukrainian traditions.
Members Business Meetings:
Members are invited to attend regular business meetings to listen to the reports from Board members and bring items for discussion and planning. This is the time to become engaged in organizing events, fundraisers, work bees, and more. Members with an active membership have the right to present motions, engage in discussions and vote on motions.
Our next members business meeting will be on Tuesday, April 14th at 6:30 pm in the Genoa Sail building in Marina Park, Comox.
Cultural/Educational Meetings:
On occasion, we host and present topics of interest to members and the general public, such as speaker presentations and cultural workshops. We will post upcoming events here.
Interested in purchasing Ukrainian food (frozen)?
Several times throughout the year, we offer traditional perogies/varenyky (with a potato & 4-cheese filling) and cabbage rolls/holubtsi (vegetarian and meat options), hand-made in a VIHA-approved commercial kitchen by our volunteers.
Hot Chocolates on 5th Street in Courtenay has generously offered to stock our perogies and cabbage rolls for purchase by the public. Take a look in their freezer next time you are in their store. Thank you to Hot Chocolates for their continuing support. We plan to have perogies and cabbage rolls available just before Easter.
Update as of March 25th: Cabbage rolls and perogies now available! Get yours while supplies last!
